What Precautions should you take at Home to prevent Swine Flu
Two things - soap and water can reduce the chance of infection by 30 per cent. All you need to do is keep washing your hand with soap and water frequently. Wash hands frequently with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand cleaner when soap and water are not available. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
Eat healthy: Proteins are essential to help your body maintain and build strength. Lean meat, poultry, fish, legumes, dairy, eggs, and nuts and seeds are good sources of protein.
It is recommended that adults eat 50 grams of protein per day. Pregnant and nursing women need more. By eating foods high in protein, we also get the benefit of other healing nutrients such as vitamins B6 and B12, both of which contribute to a healthy immune system.
Vitamin B6 is widely available in foods, including protein foods such as turkey and beans as well as potatoes, spinach, and enriched cereal grains. Proteins such as meats, milk, and fish also contain vitamin B12, a powerful immune booster.
Minerals such as selenium and zinc work to keep the immune system strong. These minerals are found in protein rich foods such as beans, nuts, meat, and poultry.
Exercise: Regular exercise may help prevent the flu. According to recent findings, when moderate exercise is repeated on a near daily basis, there is a cumulative immune-enhancing effect. That is, your strong immune system can fight flu better. When you exercise, your white blood cells -- the blood cells that fight infections in the body -- travel through your body more quickly, fighting bacteria and viruses (such as flu) more efficiently. To maintain good health, experts recommend at least 30 minutes of aerobic activity such as walking, swimming, biking, or running each day.

5 Cool Things about Bats
Compared with other small mammals, bats have exceptionally long life spans. The oldest bat ever observed in the wild was 34 year old.
Vampire bats aren't actually Count Dracula in disguise, but that hasn't stopped scientists from acknowledging the pop-culture connection: The anticoagulant in one species's saliva, which keeps blood flowing so bats can keep drinking, is known as draculin.
Some bats practice heterothermy, in which they bring their body temperatures down to that of their surroundings while at rest. Some also hibernate in the winter, and can even tolerate body temperature below freezing.
Bats prefer to fly, but they can swim if they have to. Bat-watchers have observed flying foxes taking short dips to collect dropped food and using their wings to swim back to land.
Among mammals, bats have some of the largest colonies - populations can number in the millions. Relatives find each other by smell and calls.

Beware of Trial Rooms
How to determine if a mirror is a 2 way or not ?
Not to scare you, but to make sure that you are aware. Some of the hotels and textile showrooms cheat the customers this way.
How to Detect a 2-Way Mirror ?
When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc.,
How many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror i.e., they can see you, but you cannot see them. There have been some cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms or bathroom or bedrooms.
It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at ?
Conduct this Simple Test :
Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.
However, if your fingernail directly touches the image of your nail, then BEWARE, it is a 2-WAY MIRROR ! (There may be someone seeing you from the other side). So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test". It does not cost you anything. It is simple to do.
This is a really good thing to do. The reason there is a gap on the real mirror is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass. Whereas with a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind ! Make sure and check every time you enter in hotel rooms.

How to stop Yahoo Messenger Message Popups
Perhaps one of the most annoying thing on Yahoo Messenger for most of us are the message popups which come in the middle of whatever important we may be doing. One simple way to disallow the message windows to popup in between is to make a little setting which Yahoo Messenger allows. Here is how it works.
In Yahoo Messenger application click on MESSENGER
Click on PREFERENCES
Under Category click on MESSAGES
On the right side under "When I receive a new message" click on the radio button of "MINIMIZE THE MESSAGE WINDOW TO THE TASKBAR"
The check box below this "SHOW MESSAGE FROM BACKGROUND WINDOWS AT BOTTOM RIGHT OF SCREEN" should be UNCHECKED.
With the above settings, the next time a message comes to you or 20 messages come to you, all will be received at your system in minimized state. Read them when you want and not when they come. However, the conference invites will still pop in between.
Other less relevant Settings:
In Yahoo Messenger application click on MESSENGER
Click on PREFERENCES
Under Category click on GENERAL
On the right side under "When I start up my computer"
Keep "Automatically start Yahoo Messenger" unchecked.
Under "When I'm using Yahoo Messer"
Keep "Remove the taskbar button when I minimize the main window" checked.
